Lifeover Ministries
Lifeover Ministries is a non-profit agency that provides support to families with children whose parents are willing to work but need a little assistance to get back up on their feet in order to have a better quality of life for their children. We offer financial assistance for childcare, recreational activities, Medical expenses, and repairs to primary family car used for transportation for work, home repairs that would be needed as a direct safety issue for the children. Overview of Programs offered
Childcare Assistance
Lifeover Ministries will provide financial assistance to Douglas County, Georgia families to pay for early childhood and school age care programs. This service is available for children from age birth to age 13, or up to age 18 if the child has special needs. Lifeover Ministries has partnered with several Daycare facilities in the Douglas County Area who are willing to make in kind donations as a reduced rate for our families who qualify for this program. Lifeover will provide a portion of the tuition as well as the parent/guardian to assist the family with quality childcare for their children.
Both the eligible families and Lifeover Ministries pay a portion of the childcare fee directly to the childcare Provider. The fee is based on the number of people in the family and the amount of income that the family earns.
Assistance with Medical Expenses
Lifeover Ministries will provide financial assistance to Douglas County, Georgia families to partially pay for insurance deductibles, and medically needed prescribed medications for chronically ill children. This service is available for children from age birth to age 18. Lifeover Ministries will provide a check written to the healthcare provider for the family to pay. Eligibility of this program is determined by the number of people in the family and the amount of income that the family earns.
Assistance with needed repairs to Primary Car or Family Home
Lifeover Ministries will provide financial assistance to Douglas County, Georgia families to assist with repairs to the primary car used for the parent or guardian to go to and from work. Lifeover Ministries will provide financial assistance to help with needed repairs to a home that is owned by the primary caregiver (ie. Parent or Guardian) of the eligible family. This home repair must be a repair that is needed to protect the safety and welfare of a child living in the home.
Lifeover Ministries has partnered with several Businesses in the Douglas County Area who are willing to make in kind donations as a reduced rate for our families who qualify for this program. Lifeover will provide a portion of the needed repair expense as well as the parent/guardian to assist the family with needed repairs.
Assistance for recreational activities for children
Lifeover Ministries will provide assistance/partial scholarships for recreational activities for children under 18 to Douglas County, Georgia families. Lifeover Ministries will provide financial assistance to families with children who want to participate in recreational activities in the community. These recreation activities are to include Local park baseball, softball, basketball, football, cheerleading, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts.
Both the eligible families and Lifeover Ministries pay a portion of the entry fees directly to the Recreation Provider. The fee is based on the number of people in the family and the amount of income that the family earns.
